Wholesale & café supply

We supply 38 Twin Cities kitchens, counters and hotel lobbies.

If coffee is on your menu, it should be as good as everything else you serve. We handle the sourcing, the roasting, the delivery, the machine and the training — you handle the guests.

Green sourcing you can name

Every lot on your menu comes with the producer, region, altitude and what we paid. Print it on your board or hand it to a guest — the information is yours.

Twice-weekly delivery

Tuesday and Friday routes across Minneapolis, Saint Paul and the first ring. Order by 4 PM the day before. Emergency runs are free — we've all had a Saturday go sideways.

Equipment servicing

Quarterly preventive service on your espresso machine and grinders, gaskets and burrs included. Breakdown calls answered within four hours during business days, with loaner grinders on hand.

Barista training that sticks

Two full days on-site for your opening team, then a free refresher every quarter and whenever you hire. Espresso dial-in, milk texture, brew ratios, cleaning routines and cost control.

STEP 01

Tasting & menu build

You come to the roastery, we cup four to six coffees together, and we build a menu around your space, your volume and your price point.

STEP 02

Equipment & dial-in

We spec or service the machine and grinders, then dial in every recipe on your water. You get a printed recipe card taped inside the cabinet.

STEP 03

Train the team

Two days on your bar with your staff before you open, covering everything from extraction to closing checklists. Refreshers are included for life.

STEP 04

Deliver & keep it right

Twice-weekly delivery starts, quarterly service is booked in, and your account lead checks the bar in person once a month.

Our roastery

One drum roaster. Four honest steps.

There's no secret to this. Buy well, roast in small batches, be honest about the date, and get it out the door fast. We've done it the same way on the same machine since 2019.

01 — SOURCE

We buy from eleven origins, directly where we can

Dev travels to two origins a year and buys the rest through importers who publish their farm-gate prices. We pay above the going rate on every lot and we'll tell you exactly what that was.

02 — ROAST

15-kilo batches on the Ardent Drum 15

Every profile is logged, every batch is tasted against the reference cup before it's approved, and nothing leaves the roastery on a profile we haven't tightened in the last six months.

03 — REST & PACK

Rested, then packed with the date printed on

Coffee rests 24 to 72 hours depending on the roast level, then goes into one-way-valve bags with the roast date stamped on the front. Not a "best by" guess — the actual day it was roasted.

04 — SHIP

Out the door within 48 hours

Orders placed by 10 AM are roasted the next morning and shipped that afternoon. Free over $40, flat $6 under. Local pickup at either café is ready in about two hours.

Marisol AguirreHead Roaster

Ran the bar at a Northeast café for six years before founding North Loop in 2019. She still approves every production profile personally.

Dev RainesGreen Buyer

Handles sourcing, contracts and the cupping table. Travels to two origins a year and keeps the price transparency sheet current.

Petra LindqvistCafé Lead, North Loop

Runs the flagship bar and the training program. If you booked a brew session, you're spending it with Petra.

Curtis MbekiWholesale Lead

Your account contact, machine tech and menu consultant. He's the one showing up on your bar once a month.

Two rooms

Come drink it where we make it.

The North Loop location is the roastery — you'll hear the drum running behind the bar most mornings. Raymond Ave is a smaller, quieter room built for people who need a table for three hours.

What people say

Partners and subscribers.

We switched three years ago and our coffee sales went up 40% in the first quarter. Curtis trained every one of our openers himself and still shows up once a month to taste what we're pulling. That's not a supplier, that's a partner.
Ingrid HalvorsenOwner, Marrow & Rye Bakehouse · Northeast Minneapolis
Our lobby bar runs from 6 AM to midnight and the machine gets abused. North Loop services it quarterly, answers the phone when something breaks, and had a loaner grinder here in under three hours the one time it mattered.
Tomas WhitfieldGeneral Manager, Alder & Ash Hotel · Saint Paul
I'd been buying grocery store beans for a decade and thought I just didn't like coffee that much. The weekly subscription changed that in about two bags. The roast date on the front is the whole thing — you can actually taste the difference.

Questions

The things people ask us most.

How fast do you ship, and what does it cost?
Orders placed by 10 AM Central are roasted the following morning and ship the same afternoon, so nothing sits. Shipping is free on orders over $40 and a flat $6 below that. Most Midwest addresses land in two to three days. If you're local, choose pickup at either café — it's usually ready in about two hours.
Is the roast date really printed on the bag?
Yes, stamped on the front of every bag — the actual day it came off the drum, not a "best by" date twelve months out. We recommend drinking filter coffee between 5 and 30 days off roast, and espresso between 7 and 28. After that it's still perfectly safe, it just gets flatter.
Should I buy whole bean or ground?
Whole bean, if you own a grinder — it's the single biggest upgrade you can make. If you don't, we'll grind free at checkout for your method: drip, pour-over, French press, AeroPress, Moka pot or cold brew. We don't grind for espresso on retail bags because the setting is machine-specific, but bring a bag to either café and we'll dial it with you.
Can I change or pause my subscription?
Any time, from your account, in one click. Skip a single shipment, change the coffee, switch the cadence, change the grind, update the address, or cancel outright — no phone call and no one trying to talk you out of it. Changes made before 8 PM the night before your ship date apply to that shipment.
What are your wholesale minimums and terms?
Five pounds a week gets you a wholesale account, which covers everything from a 16-seat café to a hotel lobby bar. Pricing starts at $10.75 per pound and drops at 25 and 60 pounds a week. Terms are Net 15 after your first two invoices. Delivery, quarterly equipment service and barista training are included at every volume — we don't gate the support behind a bigger order.
Do you take decaf seriously?
We do. Night Shift Decaf is a washed Colombian from Cauca, decaffeinated at origin with sugarcane-derived ethyl acetate, which strips the caffeine while leaving most of the sweetness alone. We roast it on its own profile and cup it against the caffeinated lineup every week. It's also what both cafés use for every decaf drink — no separate, sadder bag under the counter.
